Such a timesaver, and it's powerful too!

I first bought one of these robot vacuums to maintain the upstairs, where I keep my cats' litter boxes and where they spend most of their time. We have hard floors with area rugs, so we often found ourselves stepping on tiny litter granules (arm and hammer clump and seal). I have joint problems and lugging a heavy vacuum around everyday was not an option. Even using a lightweight stick vacuum was getting tiresome everyday. I specifically bought this unit because of its strong suction power (I just compared the suction power unit "Pa" to other vacuums and saw that this one was the highest in my price range). Plus it had a mop feature, so that's why I chose this one over others. Before using Rob (what I named it), I first performed a deep clean with my upright Shark vacuum. If you've ever owned a Shark, you'll know that Sharks have exceptional suction power. Well, after I ran Rob, I was so surprised at how much it picked up. And I'm not just talking carpet fibers, but I found a huge amount of dust, cat hair, and litter particles that my big vacuum failed to pick up. Then I went exploring in the robot app, I saw that I could turn up the suction power. So I turned it up to Max the next time I used it and it picked up even more. I tried the mop function, and it was honestly just okay. I think that if you have areas of your home that don't have any rugs or runners, that it would be useful. Otherwise, this vacuum will go right over them and will dampen them. So the mop function didn't serve much use for my needs but may be amazing for someone else. I like that there is an included cleaning brush tool to clean the filters every time you dump out the waste bin. I recommend removing the filters and tapping them outside to remove the dust most effectively. So far after almost a year of owning and using twice-daily this robot, I have had few issues with it. An example is when I forget to pick up my cat toys, such as ribbons, they will get caught up in the brush roll and trigger a warning code from the unit. This will stop the unit from running as a safety precaution. So sometimes I'll come home after work and find that Rob didn't complete its run, because a cat toy or ribbon got stuck in it. So I just make sure not to leave any toys or ribbon lying around now. Pros: *Efficient *Timesaver *Cheap replacement parts *Good battery life *Always finds its way back to home base *Easy to clean Cons: *Gets tangled on ribbons or cords left on floor *The magnetic strip included came with a really poor adhesive backing and I could not remove the liner from the adhesive. It was stuck and so therefore I wasn't able to use the magnetic strip to keep the vacuum out of certain parts of my house. *Must empty waste bin at least every couple of days if you have pets and run daily (and I have air purifiers, which collect excess dust and fur, so you might need to empty sooner) *The power button on top of the unit is touch-based and often brushes against something (like a fabric cat tunnel or a desk cord dangling at just the right height) and will turn off th unit. I think that a tactile push button would have been a better design idea to prevent accidental shut off. Luckily when I'm in the other room and I hear the vacuum turn off after going under the cat tunnel, I just turn it back on from the app and hope it doesn't go under the tunnel again. *The error code for when something gets tangled or when the unit gets caught on a raised ledge, such as a cat tree ledge, is so loud and long. All I need is like three beeps. It goes on for what feels like a full 30 seconds and is annoying. *Sometimes I'll notice that Rob has disappeared from my app. In the app, you can schedule cleanings every day or on specific days at any time that you choose. When I've noticed that the vacuum didn't start, I'll go to the app and see it has disappeared. I'll go through the process of adding it back in and adding new schedules once again. And it'll be fine sometimes for weeks at a time. So I'm not quite sure why the vacuum will randomly disappear from the app. I don't know if it has to do with my Wi-Fi connection or an app bug. When I do add it back, the app remembers what I had named the vacuum. So overall am very pleased and even bought a 2nd unit for the downstairs! They have saved me a lot of time and energy. I don't have to worry about straining myself physically as much to keep a clean home. I still do a deep vacuum at least once a month, but Rob and Rob Clone have saved me a lot of effort. My floors look extremely clean because of them.

Broken after 15 months.

Update 15 months later: This robot no longer works after 15 months and there is no product support, the company doesn’t respond to email. Look elsewhere. ********************** I’ve had this vacuum for about 2 months now. I am amazed at how well it works. The trick is to try to run it every day and the amount of cleaning you have to do in a week is dramatically reduced simply by removing the daily dust on your floors. It also goes underneath furniture thoroughly cleaning areas you could never get at without pulling furniture away from the walls. It also gets into the corners that are hard to reach. While you’re in the shower or taking a nap, this thing is vacuuming for you! Make sure you clear the cleaning schedule setting when you get it or you may be woken up in the middle of the night to the vacuum cleaner. The only thing you have to do is get things like shoes or phone wires off the floor before running it. The only disappointing thing is the mop feature it’s pretty much useless.
