Vitamix 5-Speed 625W Immersion Blender

I was looking for a medium-weight immersion blender to use for emulsifying ganache (I am a chocolatier). I have a powerful Robot Coupe for really viscous mixtures (as when incorporating butter into caramel), but it is quite heavy. I had a KitchenAid that lasted for years, but decided to try something new. I am sure the Vitamix handles things like smoothies and soups quite well, but it has significant drawbacks for my uses. The main issue is cleaning it. When I have finished making a filling for chocolates, I often don't have time to stop and make sure the stick part of the Vitamix is immediately submerged in hot water, but if I don't take that time, it is almost impossible to get it clean. It is also impossible to get the last bit of many ganaches out of the blades--there simply isn't space to get any tool inside (never mind my fingers!). And as for cleaning the wand so as to use it again right away, forget about drying it. I suppose a hair dryer is about the only way to dry it (again, no room for a paper towel). I would have returned this product, but the instructions said it must be in its original condition, and, of course, after using it, it is not.
