TURBRO Fireplace Heater, 23" 1400 Watts

This review is specifically for the 23" Turbo Suburbs ts23-c labeled "Used - like new" I've never purchased a used item from Amazon, and wasn't even trying to save money by buying "Used - like new", but the qualifications I needed, this had, and "Used - like new" was the only option. I only went through with it because it was eligible for a 30 day return, which I've already scheduled, and now the quantity is back up to "Only 1 available - buy soon", even though it's still right next to me, and still very broken. I wanted to love this SO badly. I opened the box, and saw the misfigured cosmetics, but I was willing to look past it. I even convinced myself it gave it a rustic, vintage look. Then, after taking it out of the box, and several plastic parts were falling everywhere, which turned out to be a broken leg, even the broken leg. The flames come on first, all three levels work great, and it's so stinking cute, and I couldn't WAIT to turn on the heat and heat my studio, but then I turned on the heat and got nothing! The heating element does not come on at all. You can here it click on, but it does not heat up. It doesn't turn red, it doesn't blow air, it does nothing. I was pretty bummed, because this would have been a completely different review had the heater worked. It's perfect for my art studio, except that I can't tell you if it heats up the space well or not. I'm mostly pretty upset that it is labeled "Used - LIKE NEW"! There is nothing new about this. Being an item Sold by Amazon and Shipped by Amazon, I trusted Amazon with their evaluation of its condition, but I feel like they're just passing it around until sometime drops the ball on getting it returned, and now that person is stuck with it, and Amazon got rid of a broken item. I'm pretty sure however I package it up, is how it will be delivered to you. Just wanted to give you a fair warning if you're wondering if it's worth buying the used one like I was, but didn't have a review to go by.
