ECOVACS OZMO U2 Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner

I give the Deebot U2 Pro 5/5 stars. I did a lot of shopping around, and based off of my personal needs, this vacuum robot seemed to be the best for me. My home is 900 sqft, with both hard floors and carpet. I have birds and a big husky mix who sheds non-stop. The Deebot is EXCELLENT on hard floors, and does a great job cleaning up birdseed under the bird cage. As far as getting every last dog hair up out of the carpet, not so much, and that's with the silicone brush attached. However, being as this is cheaper "low end" vacuum, I did not anticipate perfection. I just wanted a vacuum that would help me keep the floors tidy on a daily basis, and I still planned to manually vacuum my carpets once a week or as needed. This was important to me as I have a bad back. It is actually very quiet, it doesn't spook my birds, and my dog accepts its presence. I just tell it to clean, and hang out watching TV or work on other things while it cleans. I have had an issue with it getting stuck under my bed, but that is because I store things under there that it gets caught on. To combat this I just got the magnetic boundary strip to keep it from going under there. Occasionally it will alert me that the bumper is stuck, but in actually the Deebot just got stuck in a tight corner, so I just move the Deebot out of the position it is stuck in, and it's fine. Even though I do have the extra large bin inserted, it does fill up quickly, so I will dump it part way through cleaning, then tell it to continue cleaning. It WILL NOT TELL YOU THAT THE BIN IS FULL. I wish it did, but oh well. If you don't empty it, and it continues to clean, the bin will slide out due to the pet hair accumulating in the mouth of the bin and pushing it out. I found my Deebot "pantsless" the other day as it cruised about, and found the very full bin in another room. Oops! If you are looking for a 100% autonomous vacuum robot, this is not it. It will not create a viewable map in the app, but it does seem to have a decent idea of where it's already been, and has good coverage. I make sure the floor is clear of any hazards (or poops) before starting it, and then I make sure that I am available in case it gets stuck or needs dumped. I because I do not use scheduled cleaning, because I like to make sure the floor is hazard free first, and nobody wants to clean dog poop out of a vacuum. This routine works fine for me given how well it cleans. If you are willing to sacrifice some intelligence for a darn good little vacuum robot at a good price, then I highly recommend the Deebot U2 Pro.
