Tosot Aovia 6K 10,000 BTU Portable A/C

After using this A/C unit for 8 months, I am extremely satisfied with it -- except for one aspect: the thermostat. The functional quality of the rest of the unit is first rate, as is it's appearance. (So many of the competitor's products look like cheap plastic.) This product would have earned my 5-star rating if the thermostat worked reliably. Unfortunately, it seems to have a mind of its own, turning on and off at a temperature other than how I set it. See photo. My recommendation to the manufacturer is to not bother with features such as having it adjustable using a cell phone. Instead, utilize a simple remote thermostat that maintains a connection with the unit; and have it actually work. It's a shame to have a great product diminished by the poor design of something as simple as a thermostat.
