Weighted Blanket with Minky Duvet Cover

The weight of the blanket is evenly distributed, and stays that way, due to the many pockets of weighted material sewn in like a quilt. The quality of the blanket seems good. The material is soft, so it could be used without a duvet cover, if necessary. The duvet cover is very nice and soft. That the blanket and duvet both have a soft grain, helps keep the blanket from sliding around inside the cover. That's a good thing. A weighted blanket might not be for everybody, especially if they might be a little claustrophobic. The weight in my case,15 pounds, is good. Overall, the blanket is heavy, but the weight directly over my body is not. It sort of anchors on the bed because of the general, overall weight, but does not feel too heavy on top of me. It takes a little effort to move from sleeping on one side then other. I thought that might be a little bit of an issue for me, as an acrobatic sleeper, but I've adjusted. It somehow makes me need to be less acrobatic. Being less acrobatic, for me, has been a good thing; maybe it's because I feel more hugged or grounded. My wife tried it and knew right away that she would never get a weighted blanket; she can be a little claustrophobic. So, think about that before you buy it.
