One Of The BEST Investments For Better Sleep I Have Made
By PawPawRon on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2020
I did not review this right away as I wanted to wait until I had actually slept on it for a month or so. Now that it has been about a month and a half I will say that this is one of the best investments for sleep comfort that I have ever made.I have had lower back issues along with left shoulder problem since my early 20s (I am now just south of 70). I have read about mattresses with memory foam tops for several years now and thought someday. So back in February I saw Sealy was having sales on their mattresses and found this particular one on Amazon. I will say now that I have slept on it for almost two months that I would say it is worth the non-sale price for the better sleep it has provided me in this past 6-7 weeks. The mattress was packed into a box that when you look at it you wonder how in the world can it contain something as large as an 8 inch mattress but if you follow the easy directions and let it sit for at least 24 hours, you will see that it does. It does have some weight to it so be sure to take the plastic off when you have it laying on the bed frame where you are placing it.In the past 6-7 weeks I have experienced some of the best sleeping hours experienced in many years (really cannot remember how long it has been). I fall asleep faster, do not awaken that often and my lower back pain is probably about 2/3 improved over what it was previously. My left shoulder issue is also improved. While, at my age, I know these problems are never going to be fully resolved, this amount of improvement is extremely welcome. The only problem that I can note about this mattress is that I really do not want to get out of bed in the morning because it is so comfortable.

Like sleeping on a free Ravioli
By steve on Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2022
As the title says, if you are creating an Italian restaurant-themed bedroom, this is the mattress for you! In reality, I do not know how likely this experience would be for anyone else. The mattress arrived early, (even early in the day). I unpacked it as instructed and watched it return to its intended shape, sort of. after 48 hours 3 sides and all 4 corners were still about 4 inches shy of full height. This gave the bed slopes. For a guy as round as myself, slopes are a problem. We still attempted sleeping on it after the initial wait time, but after just 2 hours, I chose to enjoy a night on my fancy hand-me-down denim couch. Thank god I had not disposed of our old mattress yet. I put our old mattress back and placed the new one out on the floor to sit for another week. After that week still no changes, still a Ravioli. I began the return process, After explaining to the first Amazon customer service rep that, I do not own an industrial vacuum sealer, so the bed in a box will not be returning to the box, a plan was made. I was to forward an email, sent from the rep, to a special Amazon logistics unit, they would schedule a pickup, and bring the packing required for the king-size ravioli. According to the rep, I should have expected the special unit to contact me within 3 business days. The email however stated 8-10 weeks. Oddly neither of those were true. 2 days later a UPS driver arrived with a sticker.......Just a sticker. I called Amazon back up and, you guessed it, that's their special unit, but the need for packaging got lost in translation. The rep and I went a few rounds before the point was understood that I cannot put the bed back in the box. Luckily Amazon gave up, refunded me my money, and left me with the deformed mattress. Now what to do with it? Well since I was no longer worried about damaging it, I figured maybe I can try to fix it. After pulling the outer bag off I discovered that at some point in the manufacturing/shipping process the bed was damaged. There are 2 glue layers that adhere the 3 foam layers together. In the corners and the 3 sides, the glue had apparently gotten soft enough to fuse through the middle layer, keeping it as flat as possible. The glue had even leaked out on one side adhering the inner bag (not the one with the zipper) to the foam. I decided to try heat and see if I could soften the glue enough for it to separate. First I placed the mattress in a room and brought ambient air up to 90*f with a couple of space heaters, thinking this could imitate a hot warehouse environment. After six hours the glue had not budged. I then mounted my wife's hairdryer to a tripod and aimed it at one of the corners. the corner achieved 165-175*f after just 30 minutes, but the glue was still not soft enough to let the middle layer expand. I maintained this corner for about 2 hours with still no change. Then I removed the hairdryer took the room up to 100*f and let it sit for another 5 hours-ish. Still no change. So to make a short story longer, I have no idea what forces were at play to cause this defect, and now I'm stuck with a king-size mattress that cannot be slept on by more than one person. At this point, my best bet is to probably cut a twin out of the middle of the foam and give it to my 7 yo, maybe use the rest to re-fluff my recliner. I cannot recommend this bed, but I also can't say with certainty that this would be your experience as well. If only the manufacturer/shipper could identify the problem so customers could be informed. Something like "If you live in south texas and your weather has Tourettes around the end of the year, be aware your bed may turn into something resembling food" or something.

We were reluctant to buy without trying, but gave it a shot based on the great price. Very glad we did. It arrived quickly and expanded as soon as we opened it. We had it on the bed in a matter of minutes. Had heard some complaints about other foam mattresses needing to air out, but this one had no odor beyond the typical new mattress smell. We are using this on a set of twin bunks and it seems to work fine on slats, at least for kids and lighter weight adults. We got a traditional foam and spring Sealy from a local mattress store for the second bed because we wanted some versatility, but it's hard to beat the ease and comfort of this mattress for the price. I'm not sure how anyone would go about returning this if they didn't like it -- it's very compressed and tightly rolled and I don't think it would be easy to recompress it by hand to get it back in its box. An unexpected benefit is that it's much less bouncy than a traditional coil mattress, so our kid does less crazy jumping.

Comfy but HOT *New Update*

Update: October 2019. It’s been 8 mos since purchasing this mattress. Just wanted to update on how it is holding up. The mattress remains as firm as it was immediately after purchase. There are no dips or worn spots in the areas my husband and I sleep in. We rotate the mattress every other time we change the sheets. So, maybe twice a month. My husband is 6’ and about 220lbs. I’m 5’6” and about 150lbs. He is a side and back sleeper with arthritis from several old back, shoulder, and hip injuries from his military career. I am a stomach and side sleeper with arthritis in my back and hips from years of riding and showing horses. The support remains amazing. The overheating problem was resolved when we switched back to our goosedown duvet instead of the synthetic comforter we were using. I guess it just breathes better. Overall, we are so pleased with this mattress that we’re starting to convert the other 3 children’s beds to these mattresses. We’ve already switched the infant to Sealy’s foam crib mattress. No crinkling to wake her up. She sleeps like a rock. If or when this mattress wears out, we’re definitely buying another one to replace it. This has to be the best mattress we’ve ever bought. Highly recommend. The mattress arrived in perfect condition. It expanded quickly. Definitely a Medium Firm- Firm support level. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and it is very comfortable for my back, hips, and supports my stomach well while laying on my sides. This mattrress sleeps so unbelievably hot though. I thought it might be a pregnancy thing but my husband confirms. Our teenage son also fell asleep in our bed reading the other night while I was watching tv and woke up in a full sweat too. I’m thinking of adding a gel mattress topper to help cool it down and get us through the summer. We’re in the southeast on the coast of SC and I’m not going to make it through summer with this mattress like it is. 5 stars for awesome support comfort and quality. But I had to take one away for the misery of waking up dripping in sweat every night.
Great find!

I’ve been looking for a perfect mattress that’s not not too soft or too hard. After searching several department stored, I decided to give this a try. The feel is perfect at a price 1/3 of what the store offered, and free delivery with Prime.

This mattress is great. Comfortable, durable, but yes firm. I personally love a firm mattress so no complaints here. Both my kids sleep on these and I've never heard a complaint. Had one used daily since 2021.

I never write reviews, but I feel it is a public service to tell people how good this mattress is, at least to me. It has really helped my joint pain. It fits well into a medical bed (twin XL), and bends well when I elevate the head of the bed. I told my son I feel like the Princess and the Pea sleeping on her stack of feather mattresses! I sleep so much better now. It had no chemical smell to it at all. It only has two issues that I know of: 1) it is so high I had to get a low step to get into bed, and 2) it is so soft it is difficult for me to turn over in bed (I bought a trapeze). I can highly recommend it to anyone who needs a really soft yet supportive bed.

Not made for a Murphy bed

…but it still did the trick. The mattress is slightly longer than what’s required for a Murphy bed. So you end up having to squish in one side or the other in order to make it fit. Fortunately it is memory foam so it’s not that big of a deal.
