Good performance and cheap.

I have bought two of these, one for my Chromebook, and one for my FireTV Stick. With a 100mb Ethernet link I get similar results both with and without the hub (about 90 to 98 mb/s). As long as you aren't abusing them mechanically, they seem okay. Get the aluminum cased units if you want to use them as hammers! Check prices if you can exercise care in handling.

Plug was on backward, and Upgrow's customer service is non-existent

After receiving the product, the first thing I noticed was the USB plug was on backward. I had to twist the cord in order to plug it into my USB port without turning over the splitter. It would not stay plugged in properly and kept flipping the splitter. I read the small included manual. Upgrow encourages us to contact them if there's a problem and boasts of great customer service. I contacted Upgrow and told them the problem via email. I twisted the cord even more and finally got the splitter to stay in place, then discovered afterwards that it was making my USBs super hot, including the connection to the computer. I also noticed the splitter didn't have enough energy to handle more than 1 or 2 flash drives or connections. Long story short, after a series of emails they said they'd send me a replacement. After they got my personal info and address, they never sent the replacement. It's been 5 weeks. I sent them numerous emails trying to find out what happened, and they never answered any of them. So I contacted Amazon who said they couldn't replace it, only do a return and refund. Thus, this review and only 1 star.
