VECELO Wooden Ladder 4-Tier Book Shelf

The item was received with compression cracks in the top two shelf/ tray bottoms. The 2 lower shelf’s are thick and sturdy but the upper shelves are very thin laminate pressed board. Since they are essentially trays and the side pieces provide the support this would not be a problem if the bottoms were intact. The pieces were packed tightly in a too small box that looked as though it had been underneath other heavy boxes. So both bottom piece for the top shelf’s were cracked. I emailed their “support” which promised a response within 24 hours. First email sent 01/03/23, no response. Second email 01/11/23, no response. 2 days ago tried going through the Amazon site to contact seller, no response. Have heard from Amazon asking if I had received a response but I have not. I expect an item I purchase to be free of cracks and any damaged parts to be replaced. This did not happen. The box is very heavy but the item will be on it’s way back soon.
