Sturdy litter box enclosure, fits a large box, keeps the litter contained - Good value
By Sherri L on Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2021
Purchased in January 2021 and have been using it for 3 months. Cats acclimated quickly and continued to use their newly enclosed box. Initially they preferentially used their other 2 unenclosed boxes but got used to this one in less than a week. It provides more space and comfort than a hooded enclosed box that many cats don't like, while still containing litter and hiding the litter box. There is also some containment of odor while the cats are using the box, so we don't immediately know by the smell that a cat has gone to the bathroom. I looked at more than a dozen different enclosures trying to find one that was under $200, large enough for my substantial cats and their appropriately sized box, but not too huge for my location. This one was the largest at this price point, and fits very well. I am not using the optional inner divider panel in order to fit the large size box. Our box is fairly deep, I think 7-8 inches, and without a lower front threshold entry, so they have to step up and into the box. The litter box is ~22.5" long by 17" wide. There is just enough room for the cats to step into the enclosure and then into the box. I do wish it was just a bit taller inside to give more head room. My 13 year old, 18 pound large cat is pretty tall, but he seems to manage without complaint. He was a 20+ pound cat in his younger days before he became diabetic, he's got a large frame. I recently picked up the whole assembled unit and carried it by myself upstairs to test sizing in another location. There was no concern about the hardware or sturdiness of the piece, it wasn't delicate to handle or start to shift. The assembly is average for assemble at home furniture, typical hardware & instructions. If you pay attention, identify all the pieces, and eyeball how they all fit together in advance it goes smoothly. I had no problems and had it together myself in about 35 minutes, as a seasoned furniture assembler. We use a wood pellet litter that creates sawdust. This contains the sawdust well, keeps it from scattering all over the area. It's reasonably easy to clean. It has a some potential to stain, and the laminate is not waterproof, it will warp/wrinkle with water damage. My boys aren't messy about peeing outside of their large box, and I'm still using the silicone mat I had to protect my wood floors from any leaks, so we are having no problems. It's easy to sweep out the litter dust with a small hand broom and dustpan. It wipes clean with a damp cloth of any dust that sticks. Access through the double doors is convenient, but I still have to take the box out to sift and clean. It's a sturdy, decent sized enclosure for the reasonable price. Height is a little cramped inside if you are using a high-sided box. Materials are average but suitable. I'm happy with the purchase. My ratings are relative to the cost. For the price, it deserves 5 stars, it's a good value compared to similar items that are $140 to $200+

I was really excited about this purchase and did a lot of shopping around to find one that fit with the other furniture color we have. Loved it the first couple weeks but it seemed with every cleaning the door hinges got looser and looser. We tightened it back up which didn’t last long as the doors have fallen off now just a few months of use. It’s hard to get clean , and the smell just seems to stick no matter how much it’s cleaned .

Bought this for my kitty and glad I did. Looks good but my only complaint is some of the parts didn't line up all the way but was still able to put it together. Probably need to check the hardware and see if tightening up will help if anything got loose..
Will never go without a kitty loo again

I love this kitty loo! It took 2 of us about 2-1/2 hours to assemble -- instructions were easy to understand, but sometimes it's just easier with 2 extra hands. There is hardly any tracking (put a mat on the floor where they go in and out), and unless you're in the room, the smell is almost nonexistent. It's a little awkward to clean (a pull out tray that the litter box sits on would be ideal), but I love everything else about it, so that's a minor point for me. Highly recommend!

Not worth the money at all

I’ve tried very hard to make this thing work for me, but it’s honestly so poorly designed I just can’t. The door sags and doesn’t stay closed (it’s not due to assembly skills - I have assembled MANY more difficult pieces of furniture ). The top piece shifts. If I try to move it I’m afraid it will come apart all together. I wish I could return it but it would be a pain to disassemble and send back.
Living in an apartment makes this a great value for the cost to not have litter box out in open.

It’s a good size to hold her litter box with plenty of room to move around once in. I like the side where I can put a small blanket for my cat to rest on. It is a nice way of hiding her litter box.
