NutriBullet 4-Speed Blender

I had high hopes for this blender was am very disappointed in it for several reasons. I had an older Oster and it was amazing! It lasted many years and was quite powerful, it could power through ice and frozen fruit very well and it didn’t take up much counter space. This Nutribullet is not good at pulverizing ice or frozen fruits, it leaves big chunks…so my smoothies and protein shakes are not smooth but chunky. Plus it is huge and it takes up a lot of real estate on my countertop. I’m also very concerned about how it’s going to hold up over time because of several reasons…it is hard to clean because the bottom section where the blade is attached does not come off for easy and thorough cleaning…it is permanently attached. Just by looking at the blender in the ad you wouldn’t realize that it is permanently attached…it looks like a regular blender that you unscrew to clean. I think that they should disclose this in the advertisement. It’s hard to clean by hand and it’s dangerous!! You have to be extremely careful if you hand clean it and plus I just don’t think it’s possible to thoroughly clean it by hand. It’s is supposed to go into the dishwasher for cleaning which for us would mean daily dishwasher washings. It just doesn’t feel sturdy enough to last long with that much time spent in the dishwasher. Also, the attached base holds a lot of water when it’s upside down in the dishwasher cycle…so if I start my dishwasher before bedtime the water sits in the base overnight soaking the metal parts which are already discolored due to this. I would never buy this blender again and would not recommend it. I missed the deadline to return it and that’s on me…if I hadn’t let my busy schedule get in the way I would have returned it and gotten a different blender.
