Although appealing at a first glance, the charging instead of changing batteries feature is quite inconvenient. This trash can is designed for tight spaces; most people probably use them for their bathroom, but the charger is incredibly short, with the connection at the bottom of the trash can. Who has an outlet right next to the toilet? Also, even though 80 days of use sounds like a lot, I have another trash can (with regular, disposable batteries) in my kitchen that lasts for 2 years. As a housewife, I use that trash can a lot more than I use this bathroom one. Last, and unrelated to the batteries issue, the trash can opens at least three times per night without anyone using the bathroom. Maybe it’s just mine, and I was unlucky enough to get a defective one, but if it happened to me, are you gonna risk it happening to you? Not to mention it makes the most disturbing noise while it opens; you’ll get woken up at 2, 5, and finally at 7 for work. While appealing to some, I bet most people would find this detrimental. My advice: keep looking, there’s better stuff out there.
