Great quality and beautiful wood. This is a heavy duty item. The quality is great and I think it will last a very long time. It is heavy and holds all my knifes in a convenient space. My husband was always fussing that he could never find the right knife, because I used one drawer for my knives. Now he loves this block and says it has made finding the right knife so much easier. I would definitely recommend this item! I simply love it!

The slots could be wider , the big stupid square hole makes no sense.

My goal was to get all the kitchen knives in one block. 6 Wüsthof classic knives 2 Wüsthof Gourmet knives Wüsthof poultry sheers, Wüsthof sharpening steel 1 Zwilling knife 1 Global knife 3 Kyoku knives ,a Kyoku carving fork. I case XX fine ceramic sharpening rod . 6 Imarku steak knives. The big problem is most of the slots are cut to narrow ,I had to expand a couple. The big square makes no sense , but it's there. It won't hold a carving fork. They got it 85% wright. Make it make sense. If these is room ,and there is make the slots wider. Make a spot for a carving fork. Make a better poultry sheers slot.
