Beautiful Stylish Looking, Stainless Pewter Trashcan...
By Netcruiser2 on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2025
Love this trashcan, works great! Value for money is good too for all you get with it. At first, I simply wanted a new stainless trashcan similar to my old one that had a broken pedal and a bit of rust inside the lid. I even considered one w/ automatic open sensors, but decided against that b/c its just something else that might break over time. One like I had with a pedal will do fine. Anyway, the more I thought about it, this GLAD pewter colored, stainless can looked much more aesthetic and stylish in my kitchen. Its a standard 13-gallon size, though they also have this in 20-gallon size as well, and for about the same price. Since its a GLAD brand name, the build quality seems to be very good, so it should hold up to its name. I also love the fact that it also has a compartment in the rear to store about 15-20 additional trashbags, so you don't have to walk far to replace your bags once you empty it. Also the metal rod clamp inside holds your bags with very little effort. It has a slow close lid too, so its very quiet. Thank you Glad and Amazon!

Just aggravating enough but not worth returning
By C. Turner on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2025
I don't know what the perfect kitchen trash can is, because I have complaints about every one I've had. But this one is still not it. I thought I would like that there's no big liner to pull out, that's how my last can was. I didn't like stretching my trash bags over the liner, and lifting the heavy liner. But the way this is designed is stupid in an entirely different way. It's a bit of a dance to get a new bag over the bars as they're flapping around, it would be better if the bars could hold themselves in place. And you absolutely cannot take a full bag out unless you lift the entire plastic portion. I have NEVER been able to remove a full bag the other way. I don't know if there's some trick I'm missing, but once the entire plastic portion is up, there is no obvious way to get it back down without pulling on it until I hear a loud click and it comes down. I swear I'm going to break it every single time. For how expensive this can is, if it breaks from that I'm going to be extremely angry. And the bag storage in the back is a joke. I have never seen kitchen trash bags that don't come in a roll, and there's no way a roll of bags is EVER fitting in the little pocket in the back. It would be a great idea if it actually could hold a roll of bags, but it doesn't. If it had been easier to return I probably would have, but it's too big and bulky and not worth dealing with. Just hoping the plastic portion doesn't break extremely quickly.
