Spring Tension Rods 28-43" 2 Pack

When I put this tension rod together, the "thinner" rod kept falling out when I was pulling the new curtains on, extremely annoying! I needed this to fit the window area that's 38" wide and it says to install it 1-2 inches wider so that the tension will hold it securely in place. Well it wouldn't let me do that at all. So I had to make it a little shorter than 38" and basically "screw it" wider while in place which ain't easy when you're balancing yourself with one foot on the bed and the other foot on the windowsill. I've bought many in the past at actual stores and still have them but they're in storage and too much of a hassle to try to find them in there. But I'm really not happy with this and my original intent on using it was for new heavy light blocking curtains that I bought on Amazon (they truly are light blocking!) and there's no way in "blank" that I would trust this to A) hold the weight and B) not fall down when adjusting or opening the curtains. So this is probably going back and I'll probably go to an actual store to buy one this time. Final note: I also bought this because it fit my tight budget after buying the curtains and I also bought a shorter set of room darkening or light blocking curtains for the same window so I could open the long curtains, keep the short curtains closed and use my window fan. What I have to go through to deal with my chronic migraines 😫😬
