Best stainless steel cookware set for beginners!
By Justine on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2024
I bought this set awhile ago, I wanted to really get my use in on them before leaving a review. I had gotten this after my ninja cookware started peeling and sticking. Nonstick cookware is iffy sometimes and I've always been intimidated with stainless steel simply because I was unfamiliar with out to cook with it properly! Thank goodness for food network 🤣 I chose this set because it was cheaper than my last 2 cookware sets and also because I love this brand and have never been disappointed with any of my products perchased from them so I figured I had nothing to lose. These pans fit my small living space perfectly. They're user friendly with an RV stove, size wise. I use them every single day and it feels good knowing that I'm not cooking my family's meals on toxic nonstick cookware anymore. Pros-cost, size, lightness, durability Cons-the handle does get hot, but they warn with that anyway, and the edges of the pots and pans are a little sharp in my opinion. If you're looking for a nontoxic cookware set but feel intimidated with stainless steel, this set is very affordable and user friendly. The main point of stainless steel is needing to preheat the pan and then create a nonstick surface with a little bit of oil. Once that's heated up you can flick water off of your fingers and if the water hits and scatters like little beads, it's good to go. Also, let them cool completely before washing them. I've noticed that because of this, food tends to stick and you need to use elbow grease. My tip is to soak it once it's cooled with a little bit of soap before you start your other dishes. By the time you get to the pots and pans that soak will be good to go and cleaning will be easy. Dobie sponges are user friendly as well as bamboo and ecological material sponges. (my pictures won't upload, I will try updating later.)

Just okay

These are nice and flat and look nice but they are lighter and thinner and not as sturdy as my all-clad frying pan which I absolutely love. Of course I think they're in a different class. Also they are shallower than they look like in the pictures. Just not quite deep enough for their size. Also, the handles are a bit thin and slip in my hands. I'm going to have to get silicone handles for them. I don't know if I can find any that fit. The lids fit nicely but it's hard to tell which goes with what. Personally, I think all pan lids should be interchangeable. On the other hand, them being lightweight makes it easier for me cuz I am no longer very strong. But in order to make that work the handles need to be a lot fatter. I have fairly crippled up hands. One thing I like best about this set is that most pan sets like this come with frying pans that don't have lids and there are no lids in the set to fit them. In my opinion, a pan without a lid is about as useful. Is it two-legged horse. It was the main reason I bought the set. Besides it was well priced. I gave it a three instead of a four because of the skinny handles and the shallowness of the pans.
