Got it on Friday had her vacuum only yhe first evening after mapping the dust pan was full of cathair and dirt the next afternoon had her vac and mop when she got done the dusy psn was full again she does a good job. I had a diffdrent one and returned it because it never picked up dirt i had it vacuum 4 times and only a little bit of dirt was in the bin Nd it was supose to pick up pet hair which it only pushed around. Another thing i likr is if you have a door closed so she doesnt map that room and when s&e cleans she doesnt even try to go into that room if you forget thd door open. Would recomend it to others.

Endearing, but dumb, robot.
By Will E on Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2023
*Edit*I had to come back and edit this review after spending so much time with Dustbin. He's tried to be a good vacuum robot, but he simply fails to do his job night after night after night, and I'm shopping for a replacement. This model is so dumb - it will fail to complete even a half cleaning of the house most nights. I'm not sure it ever completes a cleaning run.Specifically:Dustbin will go under the kitchen table, and bounce around under it until his battery dies - failed to clean anything else.Dustbin will, despite his "laser vision" stop at the top of the basement door/edge and alert "oh no, i've detected a cliff!" and there he stops, failed to clean anything. It's odd to me that he can't handle a stairway, as it's 2024 and robot vacuums have been handling stairs for like, a decade. But, not this one - he stops and panics.Dustbin will regularly go into a room he's supposed to clean, and die there, failing to return automatically to the dock to recharge - like he's supposed to - and fail to clean.5 or so days out of the week, we find Dustbin, battery dead, somewhere around the house. He's not stuck - he's not tied up on a cord or anything - he just fails to find his way back to the dock and runs down. Moving the dock and running a remap of the house has not helped, and I've tried that twice now.The software doesn't let one schedule Room A for Monday, Room B for Tuesday, etc. I'd hoped that may be a workaround to him getting lost and dying every single night. But, can't - software is too restrictive.Basically, this little guy requires constant watching and assistance, and he will fail to clean almost every night. Bummer.Lastly, I cannot get the mop function to work consistently. I have followed all the directions for cleaning and clearing the water tank. The tank must be seated into the robot a couple times before the robot confirms it's present. But, it'll regularly just up and say "whup, out of water," even when the tank is full. When it thinks there's no water - it stops and waits. So it's not possible to "mop and forget" as this thing requires constant monitoring and helping. reseat the mop tank, start again. do it again 10 minutes later, repeat until you'd rather have just mopped manually. Making it worse, for some reason the cleaner flow is super low. I keep it on "high flow" now, all the time," and it's like barely getting the mophead wet.End of the day, I gotta buy another robot 'cause this one is getting tossed.**end edit**This is such a cute vacuum, which is dumber than a box of rocks. I named my unit "Dustbin," per a cute feature in the app. The little guy gets the floors mopped and vacuumed pretty well. It needs refills of water often during mopping - so you will get interrupted to go fill him up again. More often than not, I just have the unit run around vacuuming at night, without mopping, as mopping is an "attended" activity by necessity. Dustbin is quiet and diligent. He is doing a great job every night - even though he regularly gets lost and doesn't return to his charger to fill up and complete the job. And he gets stuck. And he spends far too long messing around under the kitchen table, because he's stupid. He'll burn a solid 20% of his charge sometimes just being lost under the chairs. But, it's nice that I can tell him to go directly to any rooms on the map I want. The "dry" areas you can put on the map only get as small as 4x4 foot squares. That's great, if you have only square rugs. Your carpets are gonna get wet, or you're going to miss mopping hard surfaces - there is no ideal situation. The unit can only do one floor with all the features. It's not capable (because of its software) of mapping a 2nd floor - even if you were willing to buy a 2nd dock. So, you get one floor with mapping and sure, you can haul him upstairs and hit "clean," but you get no map features/controls.The unit's voice volume is so quiet it's silly. The voice prompts are useful for troubleshooting, but they are super quiet on their loudest setting. The "find my robot" voice is so quiet it can be missed when the unit is in the room with you. So that's useless. All in all, as a refurb unit, it works great for the price. Had I paid full price, I'd expect the functionality to deliver more than it does. If you don't mind the shortcomings, you can get to a point where the unit happily cleans every night and mostly gets the job done each time. Over the week - my floors are pet-hair free, I don't have to do anything but rescue him a couple times a week and empty the dustbin. Solid C+ experience.
