Hate coffee, but LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee maker!
By N/A on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2025
I purchased this refurbished unit 10/1/24 and I love it. It is now May 2025 and it has been used almost every day since it was delivered. The packaging was great and the unit itself looked new. Has also worked like it is new, not one single issue has arisen. I have used the grinder and made fresh ground coffee for my husband, 2 bags full of whole beans. Mostly I use pre-ground coffee. I can't speak to the taste of the coffee (Tim Horton's) but he likes it, he drinks it black. The clock and the pre-set timer are easy to use, the digital display is clear and the numbers are large and easy to read. I love that the lit background is blue and the numbers are black. The thing I love the most is the top of the water reservoir. The prior Mr. Coffee coffee maker (no pods for my man) had a reservoir opening that required me to turn the coffee maker to the side to be able to pour the water in without spilling it everywhere. Sometimes I still spilled it. This Cuisinart allows me to pour the water in straight from the front. I love it! No turning it sideways and no spillage! The beep that lets me know the coffee is done brewing is loud enough for me to hear in the living room but not so loud it interrupts my daily viewing of Perry Mason with my hubby. I know the coffee comes out hot because he always has to let it cool for about 5 minutes before taking a sip. Not once has the filter caved in and allowed grounds into the pot, but you must be careful to make sure there is only one filter in the basket so the coffee does not overflow. that has never happened here but I did read it in the instruction booklet. The only think I don't like, which is no fault of Cuisinart, Tim Horton's or my household, is the condensation that accumulates in the bean grinder cup. When the coffee is brewing (pre ground coffee), since the water is heated it causes condensation in the covered bean grinder cup. Easily resolved, once done brewing, remove the cup and cover from the coffee maker and wipe them dry or put them in the dish drainer to air dry. (They must be in place for the machine to function. It makes a noise if they are not in place. The first time it happened it took me a while to figure out what the noise meant. Lol I would definitely recommend this coffee maker and I would buy it again!

Makes okay coffee; grinder incredibly loud
By ebg on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2025
Only used the grinder twice. It's so loud it sounds like a helicopter is taking off in my kitchen. Reverted back to my regular handheld grinder. The coffee it makes is okay--stress on okay. I like strong coffee and my pourover makes stronger tasting coffee with the same amount of beans. Because I like coffee with the amount of beans standardly recommended-- two tablespoons per six ounces-- I can make no more than 32 ounces of coffee in this machine (6 cups) Basically it sits on my counter now and I only use it if someone who likes meh coffee is staying at my house.
