Difficult to set up and charge

We got the device today and haven’t been able to use it. It has been charging for 6 hours straight and is showing about 90% charged but when I unplug it, it shows the bar about 10%. There is a require update to be install in order to register but I cannot download the update because it says that doesn’t have enough battery charge. It connected to the internet once and then it disconnected itself and I haven’t been able to connect it again. I’ll leave it charging all night and if the problem persist I’ll return it. Too complicated for a kids toy. UPDATE: February 2025 the batter died. My daughter cannot use it anymore. I’m not sure if there is still warranty.
