Functionality with Simplicity
By Twinkle Toes on Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2024
As a Senior this toaster oven fits all my needs with simplicity and safety- Let me count the ways!! It has simple, easy-to-read functional knobs. The 30" cord adequately reaches an electrical outlet above a counter-top. The rack itself allows for further placement at different levels by just turning it over. There is an alert sound and shut-off feature, when toasting is done and the rack moves slightly forward as the door is opened for safe removal of the toast. The crumb tray can be completely removed for cleaning and the heating rods even have a protective metal covering. The surprise was finding that it can do one-sided toasting for bagels, muffins or pizza as well as a setting for just reheating or keeping food warm. The side handles are a plus in making it easy for lifting and moving the oven. Needless to say, I love and highly recommend this Cuisinart model of a toaster oven, especially for Seniors like me!!

DO NOT BUY - will breakdown
By SRA on Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2023
This toaster oven stopped working 1 year to the day after we purchased. It always ran really hot, and even with the bumpers around it I kept it pulled out from kitchen counter backsplash and walls when in use. But one day it just wouldn't turn on. Tried plugging into another outlet. Red "on" light flashed real quick then off. Couldn't get it to go back on. Reset outlet plug and tried again. Same thing. Plugged other items into outlets and they worked fine. Waited a few days and tried again. No luck. Waited a few weeks and same thing. On multiple outlets. I did notice that the last time it worked I touched the power cord and it was really hot, almost burning my fingers. Touched the plug to unplug from wall and it was quite hot too. After that it never worked again. I also noticed that this toaster oven only uses a 2 prong plug. That doesn't seem quite right for such a powerful appliance. Aren't most 3 pronged? For this type of wattage I would think so. Is it because it's Amazon "renewed"? I honestly didn't realize I was buying something that wasn't brand new. No luck getting a replacement or service, with neither Amazon nor Cuisinart. This might not seem like a lot of money to spend for some people, but to me it is. I expect a good brand name product to be of quality and to last for years and years (without having to buy an extended warranty). The fact that this didn't is terribly disappointing. Now have to toss this, which kills me. Hoping my city with accept it with the household & e-waste disposal event. Won't be buying Cuisinart again, and will ensure I never buy something "renewed" from Amazon ever again.
