Effective And Efficient!

I had never heard of the Spicey Shelf (even though the packaging shows 'as seen on TV'). It came up in my suggestions, I looked at the design, read the reviews and I was sold! It was easy to assemble, just measure your cupboard space, remove your shelf,, add or subtract the spacers for your cupboard, assemble for width, or shorten and stack them for extra storage! The nice thing is, this takes advantage of space normally lost to height. And anything larger that doesn't fit on the shelves (like olive oil bottles, sauce bottles or balsamic vinegar bottles) they sit perfectly in the center of the shelves! The rubber feet on the legs help prevent the shelves from shifting, and the shelf tops have a rubber mat to prevent the spices from slipping around. I love them, and would definitely buy again!

Flimsy construction and difficult assembly, but it serves its purpose

I assumed it would some in a couple pieces and everything just snapped together. I was very wrong. Its basically a shortened version of the U shaped pieces and then a million little pieces that you have to add on to customize it to what you want. You add sections so the side to make it wider and then slide the U piece out to the ends of the sections (which aren't very stable because its like 3 snap in lego pieces on each side). You also have to snap in the legs to the bottom depending on whether you want it to be short or tall and then add a connector piece to the bottom for added stablity. The leg pieces (and most the pieces in general) weren't made very well so I had a lot of difficulty getting them to fit together and it was equally hard getting the U pieces to slide out to the ends. I also have matching glass spice bottles so they were pretty heavy for the flimsy plastic that its made out of. That being said, it is a good tool to organize spices if you have a lot of spices. My cabinet wasn't tall enough to do full size spice bottles on the top and bottom of the shelf (I chose the side by side arrangement) so I used a bamboo stair style spice organizer that I already had and put it in the middle of the U shape to utilize the space in the middle.
