Husky shedding brought me here
By Seth on Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2022
I've had this robovac for over a week at this point, and I am very impressed so far. Our husky sheds what seems like at least a pound a day, and this helps manage how often I have to actually whip out the full sized upright vacuum. I have about 50/50 hard floors and thick carpet. I have it set to do its thing at 6am every day, and when I get up the robot is docked, and the carpet looks great and nicely landscaped with nice straight lines and no visible dog hair. The tumbleweeds of husky hair are also gone from the corners and against the walls. The proof is in the dustbin: it is full every morning. It doesn't have laser scanning or crazy real time maps or anything overly fancy like that, but the basic map that it generated post vacuuming is really neat to see. Our place is about 1,050 sqft. It navigates really well. If I need a room vacuumed I just set it down in there and close the door until it is done. I also have a low carpeted garage, and it picks up from low carpet very well too. The suction on max settings is quite powerful, but not loud enough to wake us up while it works early in the morning. I got this for 230 along with the mop attachment, but I do not plan on using the mop. My main complaint would be that the exhaust is directly out the rear, which can tend to blow around tufts of dog hair on hard floor while turning around, but it makes enough passes to eventually go back over and pick up whatever it blew around. Also the edge pickup on the thick carpet is not exactly great since the brush is in the center of the unit. Edge pickup on hard floor is actually great since the side brush effectively sends anything against the walls directly into its path. Overall this robovac kinda blew my mind, cause I figured that they were still more of a novelty for rich folks that weren't even that effective. It is very useful and honestly not that expensive for what I paid for it, we've come a long way in this technology.

The cliff sensor issue will turn this machine to trash.
By Leo on Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2024
It works great until some dust gets into the cliff sensors, then good luck making troubleshooting it without some kind of engineering degree. A simple override to ignore cliffs would have made this a fine product, but you get what you pay for when you buy Chinese - Money down the drain and no support.
