Dead accurate and forward sliders are a space saver
By Dr. Nik on Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2024
Bought this to replace a prior saw because it wouldnt hold true. Space saving was a plus and I was between this and the Makita. This won on price and Ive had good experiences with HPT miters and circular saws before. Dead on out of the box, easy to use and stock blade was good enough for trim work. Battery life is excellent. Did multiple rooms of base, casing, and crown no problem.

Metabo for shame
By Robin on Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2023
I ordered this miter saw and was excited about it , I set the saw to 45 degrees left then 45 degrees right it the 2 pieces together and they didn’t add up to 90 degrees . Metabo replaced it with another saw that is every bit the piece of garbage that I sent back , the left fence isn’t on the same plane as the right . I also bought a 23 gauge nailer that I tried to get my money back, it jammed frequently and doesn’t set the pins . Today the 18 gauge metabo was misfiring and now doesn’t set the nails, last week my Metabo 6 1/2” trim saw stopped working altogether , and my cordless metabo ra dom orbital sander switch is malfunctioning . All of these tools are maybe a year and a half old . I am so disappointed , I also bought the triple hammer 36 volt impact , so far love it also 36volt 1/2 “ drill , so far love it also the big sawzall so far love it also oscillating tool cuts slow compared to dewalt , also ac line for 36 multivolt plug , also the cordless compressor also the 4 gang charger and the 18 volt 3/8” drill , you would think customer service would be helpful ,not yet . I have been a carpenter for 40 years ,? I will never ever purchase another green tool and if you do after reading this , good luck , you’re going to need it

This is the first mitre saw that I have owned that need no adjustment right out of the box. Unboxed this saw, charged the battery and made initial cuts to check angles. All cuts were spot on. It shipped in original manufacturer’s packaging and it was in rough shape when it arrived and I was afraid the saw would be as well, but it was very well intact due to molded styrofoam packaging. I recommend this saw!

The kickback

Ive owned dewalt in the past and no issues. I actually had metabo hpt in the 12” sliding miter right before this one and even that one was great. This one has been having a lot of kickback even with PICKETS! Im starting to think i got a defective model. I mostly used my little cheap Einhell for this reason most of the time now.
Cuts through 2x6- 2x10s no problem.

Waited a while to post a review. Used it to build a 12x16 shed. Never had a problem with it and the battery life for multivolt on metabo is 2nd to none.

Very refined design, easy to use, accurate enough for trim work.

I built the coffered Walnut ceiling and columns in the pictures with it. It is accurate enough for professionals and easy enough to use for the diy people.
Very good saw

Use it just about daily and won't go back to a corded saw.
Metabo HPT MultiVolt 36V Sliding Miter Saw

On your site it says, these parts are included ( battery, battery charger, ac/dc adapter ) but when I get the product, it does not have these parts and on the box it says, these items are not included. This is false advertising. It is like buying a car from you guys, and then you take the tires off, removing the battery and no keys to start it with. While you are saying, sorry these parts are not included, but you advertised as a whole car. So what am I left with? An anchor! Because I cannot drive the car or in this matter run the saw. I'am sure the saw is fine, I just need the parts to be able to run it.
Is a good tool with quality, but with some flaws.
