Incredible fan!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Okay, so I originally looked into this fan because a friend shared a hilarious review praising it. My house is 200 yrs old and I live in the attic space, it is always hot, even with an AC unit. This fan is worth the price if you sleep better cool. It actually does put out cold air. Of course, it depends on the actual temperature of the room, but we had a massive storm, which lowered the temperature overnight enough that my sad little AC unit isn't working nearly as hard because this fan is WORKING AMAZINGLY!!! I love it. So worth it. Cooling: yep Air flow: plenty Ease of installation: super easy Noise level: super quiet

No longer have to compensate tv volume due to fan noise.

Been using a 4 speed costco tower fan for many years now. I believe it's a Blackstone brand. On speed 1 it was noisy. Probably about as loud as speed 5 on this 1. You'll forget to turn this fan off on speed 1. I think it's due to the DC motor this fan has. Not many choices on tower fans with DC motors except for Lasko and Dreo but they start at $90 on sale. Couldn't pass on this 1 when it dropped to $60. DC motors are quieter and use less electricity so in the long run they're worth the extra cost. Moves enough air for me at all speeds so happy with that. It's a nice looking fan and remote. It's got an occasional slight tick at its maximum oscillation points so I'm monitoring that. If it gets worse I'll return it since I just got it 2 days ago. Not annoying enough for me right now. This will be my 5th tower fan and I know from experience it's a lottery on getting the perfect fan. Also, I think people expect these things to have high output like blade fans. You should get pedestal fans in that case. I have 2 Honeywells for that and in the bedrooms so they reach over the bed. No room for that in the living room where a tower fits better and covers the couches and chairs. Anyway, I hope this review is helpful. Edit 10/1/23: Taking it down a star as it clicks during oscillation most of the time now. Going to replace it with another Dreo Pilot Max. I had bought 1 shortly after getting this Pelonis. Much better but twice the price. I’ll relegate the Pelonis somewhere oscillation isn’t necessary or the clicking is less annoying. At some point I’ll take it apart and fix or try the warranty route. Hopefully you get 1 without this problem. Other than that still a good fan. Edit 11/18/23: Taking it down to 1 star. Motor is starting to squeal. No wonder I saw this fan at a discount store recently. I had moved it somewhere where I didn’t need oscillation and now I can’t use it at all. Edit 3/16/24: Moving back up to 3 stars as Midea (Pelonis parent company) reimbursed me for the fan. I’ve oiled tower fans in the past and will oil this one now. I just didn’t want to mess with it under warranty. Hopefully I just got a dud. Reputable company though if you have any issues.
