TCL Smart Series 8K BTU Portable A/C

Ordered the TCL8P91C Portable AC in July of 2022. Worked fine the few times I used it that summer, however produced no cold air the following summer (2023). Jumped through all kinds of hoops to prove to TCL that the machine didn't work, so they sent me a new one last summer. Great!! The new one worked fine last summer, but I turn it on this summer and get nothing but hot air again. Ran through all the troubleshooting steps, same as first time, but no luck. Just spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with TCL rep who was very helpful, but bottom line is that TCL won't take any responsibility for sending me a second defective unit. Their reasoning is that the warrantee is based on the time of purchase of the first unit, and that time has expired. What about the fact that I still don't have a functioning AC after $593 and two years of screwing around with their defective product? Not their problem! Guess that's the last TCL product I'll be purchasing. Now on to finding an AC unit that doesn't just work, but keeps working for more than a year after purchase.
