Works well! I put this thing through EXTREME use, meaning it’s on for majority of the day to help any air pollution level stay low. Pay attention to its recommended square footage - I got one for a room a little bigger than where I have it in but it still seems to do the job. If you do go with this one, all components are inside the unit with the filter upon opening it for the first time. Sleep mode does go quite but if you are a light sleeper like my partner you may notice it. I did notice a small squeak noise upon start up but I use it a lot and I’ve had it for over a few months, so the fan and motor are bound to sound like that after extreme use. I don’t use auto mode because it’s highest setting is very loud and unnecessary for me. Can also use while cooking to keep the smoke to a minimum, and for my 4-20 friends, it does eliminate the smoke odor.
