Magnet all stretched up :/

Just opened and received the package today and the magnet didn’t appear to have any wrapping on it just in the box it’s self. And it looks like it’s been stretched to death with a knife/ bitten, I don’t even know. Clearly it’s been through a lot. Very disappointing because this is meant as a gift for a dear friend of mine. The rest of the items seem okay. I’m wondering if I can just get a replacement magnet?
