Very sturdy!

Easy to construct. Took approximately 40 minutes from taking it out the box to standing up independently. Love the metallic good, it matches my large picture frames, and for me, I did not need to use walk safety. I simply used the foot knobs to ensure the shelf is more balanced and leaning back a tad more. The shelf is sturdy! I love the tempered glass. Easy to install on the shelves and holds in place well. I didn’t need book ends for my books because of the way I staggered the books. I have a lot of books on these 5 shelves and they hold up well. I definitely recommend this shelf for a more classy look over the wooden shelves if you’re going to put this in your living room.

Flimsy, but will do

This arrived in a compact box, all parts were there, and it was easy to assemble. However, nothing in the instructions prepped me to expect 3 different lengths of glass. Two glass pieces had identical lengths, one was about 0.75 inch shorter, and the other was about 1 inch longer. Frame openings appeared to be the same size, so I was not anticipating this. I then swapped a few of the glass pieces and realized the longer piece fit perfectly on top, and the shorter one fit a bit better on the bottom shelf (although there was still about a 1/8 inch gap between the glass and frame on both sides). Fine. Fixed. Next, I put all my display pieces on the shelves (weight was evenly distributed), and tested the stability with a little nudge, and this thing jiggled like jello. Yes, they provided some anchors so that you can make this safer, but I wasn’t planning on using them since I don’t have kids or cats. I bought this particular shelf to save myself a trip to IKEA, but honestly, the IKEA glass etagere that I had prior to this was much sturdier and not so easily destabilized. I’ll keep this one since it’s not in a high traffic area, but for this price, I would recommend the IKEA equivalent instead.
