Samsonite Ascella X Softside Luggage 2Pc Set

I’m extremely disappointed with this suitcase. The Samsonite Ascella X 29-Inch model is too large to qualify as standard checked luggage for nearly every major airline, including Delta, American, and Southwest. The maximum size allowed for checked baggage is 62 linear inches (length + width + height), and this bag measures 64.2 inches. That means it’s automatically classified as “oversized” and subject to additional airline fees—often around $200 per bag. I unfortunately bought two of these without realizing this important detail. I assumed that a major luggage brand like Samsonite would design bags that actually comply with airline policies. I’m frustrated that they would even manufacture a “checked-luggage” suitcase that exceeds standard airline limits. Bottom line: if you plan to fly with this luggage, DO NOT BUY IT. Save yourself the surprise oversized baggage fees and the frustration I experienced. Samsonite should know better.
