My dog chewed the rope portion off quickly. I purchased it to replace harder chew toys which were wearing down her teeth (this dog chews on rocks if given the opportunity!). She still gets lot of chewing enjoyment out of the remaining banana without shredding it and it appears to be aiding in plaque removal as well.

My small dog destroyed this toy in less than 2 hours. The rope was torn in 15 minutes and ends of banana were shredded.
