This "chew" toy completely fell apart within minutes of giving it to the dog. We have a 8 month old Corgi she "ate" the yellow rubber. Dangerous in that she could have swallowed the round plastic part located inside. Also not good that she ate the rubber. We just received this item, dog only had it for a very brief time. Not durable at all. Do not recommend this product.

My dog chewed the rope portion off quickly. I purchased it to replace harder chew toys which were wearing down her teeth (this dog chews on rocks if given the opportunity!). She still gets lot of chewing enjoyment out of the remaining banana without shredding it and it appears to be aiding in plaque removal as well.

Unfortunately this didn’t work. My puppy enjoys having her teeth brushed so I thought this might work as well. She had it chewed up within a couple hours. I would recommend if your puppy isn’t an aggressive chewer.

My pooch recently fractured a tooth that needed to be extracted. The vet said no more benebones, bully sticks or yak cheese to protect teeth. Pooch is an aggressive chewer and it has done well for a week while toys usually get destroyed within minutes. The only warning I would give is supervise play with this toy. The pooch concentrated on one spot and has started a hole. I will limit chew time for next purchase, but well loved.

Good quality, but not for heavy chewers. Our puppy greatly enjoyed this toy, but our older lab mix chewed through the ends where the rope meets fairly quickly. Most likely better for younger dogs or those who are not heavy chewers.

Our pup goes through these periods of chewing. This is our second one of this item. She will chew on it for a good while before she is bored. We also like to put plain cheerios in the slots, that really keeps her busy. She had her old one for about 6 months before it was time to let it go.

I got this for my 4 mo. old puppy. Within 2 hours of having this banana toy, he put a hole in it and almost ripped through the rope. We have a different JW toy that's softer and more pliable, he has put a couple divots in that one ,but hasn't taken any chunks out... I figured this one would be safe too If you have a severely. heavy chewer, like I apparently have, I'd look for something more durable.
