Excellent Wood - Quality for the Price
By Bears Fan Jim on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2023
Very simple games ( Connect 4 and Dominoes) that are perfect small size for backpacking or , in my case, playing in an assisted living home for my 99 yr old mom who needs mental exercise. ( just remember, our parents are now our children. Don't get upset when they have difficulty with even these simple games).

Quality is Fine, but Colors Make Predictable
By Mr. Chris on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2024
Pros:1. Good feel and material. Box is on-theme with the dominoes themselves, and they're all decent quality.2. Consistent size/shape.3. The "pips" sealant seems good enough to where they won't rub off.Cons:(Note that the cons should be immediately obvious from the pictures, so it's on me for having purchased this set in spite of that. But I will not them here in the spirit of "here's what would have made them better".)1. Major con from a non-novice perspective is that, because they're different colors, one can predict what can be drawn from the boneyard or what the opponent has in hand. This is akin to having marked cards in playing cards. Now, this can be circumvented if you have the boneyard in, say, a bag and have opponents completely hide their hands, but that's mildly inconvenient. I wish I didn't purchase this because of that; I didn't think about it at the time. Perhaps casual players wouldn't care though. And the different colors does add to the aesthetic of the set. However, they are all consistently weighted (e.g., the orange ones will always have a 5 or 6), and once you know that, it's hard to unknow when playing.2. It'd be nice if the "pips" were actual removed material and not just painted/printed on. But, this feature is clear in the pictures/description.
