My life is infinitely better with this

I really don’t know what I would do without this. I have 2 dogs and a cat so this thing gets used every single day. It saves me so much time and makes my days much easier. The map function is a game changer. I have lots of rugs with tassels on the ends so when I was searching for robot vacuums I knew it was going to be important that I have something with a map so I could block off those rugs. And I was NOT wanting to spend $500 on an iRobot. I saw this one and gave it a shot and it’s been great! Also, for reference, my house is about 1,750 sq ft and it usually has to charge once between cleaning to get the entire house - but I always use the highest suction. The app can be a bit difficult at first, and sometimes it’s a little glitchy, but they are always doing updates so it keeps getting better. For everyday cleaning, it’s amazing. But I wouldn't use it to replace my deep cleaning. I still go through about once every week or so with a broom and vacuum to get all the crevices and baseboards and little things it doesn’t pick up. Still a huge help though!

I do not see how this has such great reviews

We bought this for the mapping feature and the no-go zones. How nice would it be to get a robot vacuum that didn’t get stuck under the dresser, nightstand, couch, or on the base of a pedestal stool or floor fan, to name just a few? Well this ain’t it. I have run the robot countless times to “map” our house so that we can mark off no go zones, but apparently it must complete an automated cleaning cycle before you can do any fancy map editing. Out of the hundreds of cleaning cycles it has yet to complete whatever the requirements are to edit the map and today we get a firmware update that, yep you guessed it, wipes out your map! It has been hours and hours of fun babysitting this pos so that it hopefully doesn’t get stuck on our entryway rug, that is literally less than a 1/4 of an inch thick. Is this I get for buying an off brand or is that just how horrible the technology is? ## update ## After having this for a few months ,this is a HUGE source of frustration for me. It finally created a map and they adddd a feature to save the map. You would think this would solve all of my problems, but sadly this just adds even more avenues for this vacuum to be a let down. For whatever reason, the damn thing decides there is a new area detected and wipes out the map that I spent days if not weeks trying to force it to build. I assure that I did not add on the house. Accidentally leave a door closed and run the vacuum? Well bow your robot will no longer be able to ever go back to that room again without wiping out your map and starting over! Load the saved map you say? How novel of an idea, you would think that is what saved maps are for, right? Nope, “new area detected”. If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I absolutely hate this thing. This has to be the worst app ever written for a vacuum cleaner. How hard can it be to understand what you want a robot vacuum cleaner to do? It isn’t like I am changing houses. Map my each room in my house, once it is mapped the rooms aren’t going to change. I might adjust no go zones for day adding a Christmas tree, but the walls and things aren’t going I move frequently. This is an absolutely horrible design.
