Works great to calm my cat
By Birdgirl on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2023
My cat has had horrible separation anxiety anytime I even attempt to go anywhere, even if it is just on the porch ever since I got her. She gets in the window and starts doing the cat equivalent of howling and clawing at the window and just has a meltdown. I bought these collars hoping it would help. They arrived very quickly after purchasing, you get 3 collars that last 1 month each. So the value is really good in comparison, but what I wasn’t expecting was to love how it smells. I figured it would be something that might make me keep my car at a distance, but putting it on her, she smells so good that I can cuddle with her without having to deal with a potent scent. They are actually really long when you get them out to be able to fit all cat necks and they are soft enough to cut the excess off with a pair of scissors. My cat is also basically a Houdini when it comes to getting out of collars and harnesses, but this one hasn’t come off the entire time since I first put it on. It’s loose enough she can breathe with a little excess, but the grip is so strong that basically only a person can take it off. The only real downside here is that it may not be safe for outdoor cats because it may not break or come off if they get hung up somewhere, which is the purpose of a breakaway collar. It’s not exactly the prettiest collar by any means, but it really helps. Now, when I step onto the porch, she just gets in the window to watch me. She doesn’t freak out as bad whenever we go to work or to the store. She still meows at us, but it isn’t howling or clawing and panicking. We haven’t gotten her fixed just yet, but it even helps calm a cat in heat to a degree. It doesn’t get rid of all of the symptoms of heat, but she isn’t being spastic about trying to get outside quite as much as she did before we got the collars. If your pet has anxiety of any kind, this collar does the trick. She still gets the “zoomies”, but for the most part, she doesn’t have a ton of excess excitable energy either, if that is the sort of purpose you want to have with this collar. I don’t want to unseal a 2nd collar before it is time to replace the one she has on to show the length of a new one, but I may update the reply later in the month to show a sizing scale for those worried about how it would fit. All in all, it is a really wonderful product.

Kinda work

Got these for my cat Millie. She has a lot of anxiety around other people. ( We have had her since a kitten so she never lived with anyone and has never been abused etc.....) I got the idea because my sister got a different brand for behavior correcting ( her cat was peeing right outside the liter box) Well her not only corrected her issue but made her cat a lot more friendly with less anxiety or crabbiness towards others! So I figured I would fine one just for stress and anxiety. was SUPER excited to be able to help her be more comfortable! Well first off- let me tell ya- they are POTENT- I did not expect to be able to smell her half way across the house. I am not exaggerating- I could smell where she had been and if she was in a room unable to be seen I could DEFINITELY tell which one she was in. I guess it isn't an AWFUL smell but it is VERY fragrant. So if you are sensitive to smells be aware. Second- I have been watching her since I purchased them- which has been a good while now. They do seem to make her not QUITE as jumpy? Like before if she hear a loud noise upstairs from down stairs she would jump. but now she kind of just swings her head up instead of scattering. She seems not to be as irritable about her sister now too... before she would hiss at her all the time and be ran around the house from her just trying to play. Now she kind of just sits there annoyed with her ears back until she goes away. Still nervous when people enter a room or hears noises etc. I guess a little help is better than nothing.
