Keeps my coffee hot for quite a while

Some insulated tumblers are not as good as others, and after trying many different ones, that is something I have determined. This one from OXO I think is one of the best ones I have tried. I use it mostly for coffee in the morning and found it keeps my coffee piping hot for at least 3 hours, so long as the lid is on and closed. As you use it, opening the slit on the lid lets steam out, so it will eventually get cooler over time, but I would estimate at least 8 hours and it is still on the warm side. I am very satisfied with this and I like the colors.

expensive for a travel mug that is not leak-resistant

This mug is advertised as leak-proof, but I disagree. The lid is thin plastic that just presses on to the steel lower section. It does not screw tight like most travel mugs. If the mug flips over on your desk or in your backpack, it will leak. In the worst case, the press-on lid can pop off and dump the contents on to your desk or into your bag. Yes, there are other brands of travel mugs that have lids that are not very leak-resistant, but I do not recommend those either.
