Pet Dog Nail Grinder

I have 3 dogs of various sizes. I have a mixed breed of only god knows what but he’s almost as big as a miniature pony.he weighs 134lbs His nails are really thick, so I wasn’t sure how well this would work. We’ve gone through multiple dog nail clippers. Some have broke on his nails after first use even after claiming to be “heavy duty” but After I cut his nails I used this….. noticing I didn’t need to trim them first. It does make some noise but it wasn’t enough to spook him. It smooths and shortens just fine, Now onto my German shepherd 80lbs. We got her from the shelter not long ago. She is hyper and her attention span is short surprisingly so I got this when I got them (husky also) unsure of how the grooming process would go with them. So I needed something quick. Using this on my first dog mentioned since I’ve had him for many years. I got the hang of it quickly so it went smoothly with the German shepherd. She did not like but tolerated the little bit of noise it makes and the feel of the grinding on her nails. Hers will need a few sessions to get them to where they need to be since I didn’t push it. I want her to like grooming sessions. Now my husky 37lbs. This is the fun interesting one and hopefully won’t be this way every time. The minute I turned it on she turned it into a game bouncing and running around. My husband got her and the dramatics started so I went to her and the talking/protesting started. Hers were really easy to do aside from the laughter she caused during the trimming. She probably won’t admit it but it wasn’t bad at all if she wasn’t looking at it, then she wouldn’t have known I was doing it. Once you get the hang of it it’s easy to use. Durability and for how long is still undetermined so if they give out after only a few uses on 3 dogs I’ll leave an update. I haven’t even tried to do the cats. But I think it would be fine. Our cats don’t like any grooming that’s not their own doing. So may or may not find out.
