Surprising quality for the price.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much for a rolling desk chair at a cheaper price but I was pleasantly surprised after putting it together how sturdy it felt. Also very nice cushion

Broken in under 60 days
By Moopoo421 on Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2022
I purchased two of these. Both were intended for my children, who attended online school 5 days a week. The chairs are not used for any other purpose except for school between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm, M-F. I purchased the chairs on July 26, 2022. They arrived a few days later, and I personally assembled them. The directions were fairly easy, though the included Allen wrench was exceptionally difficult to work with. These chairs were not abused and were well cared for. They were not used in an ordinary office environment where they would be subjected to significant battering. They were used in a home environment where we care for things we invest in so that we don't have to replace things. The warning signal should have been the flimsy plastic frames and the way that the back of the chair is constructed. The only metal part in this chair is the base and the screws/bolts. The frame and arms are plastic. The holes where things are bolted/screwed together -- you guessed it -- plastic. My kids aren't 200-250 lb. adults. They are teenagers. The back of one chair broke when my child was sitting in his chair. I looked, and the other chair is cracked in the exact same location, and I expect it to break any day now so my child is not using it. I don't know how these chairs received the reviews that they did. They look fantastic, but the quality is sub-par. These chairs aren't just poorly manufactured, but they are safety risks. If this had occurred after years of wear and tear, I would be more forgiving. (I have a chair in my home office that is 12 years old. It's not broken or cracked -- but it's also from a totally different manufacturer and has all metal parts.) I haven't even owned these chairs for 60 days, and one is broken and the other is cracked. For the price I paid for them, I would have expected a higher quality and a manufacturer that would have stood behind their product. Buyers should be aware that they are paying a premium price for largely plastic product. UPDATE: I also want to make a note about the additional warranty I purchased to go with the chairs. Even though I paid extra for a warranty, that was worth nothing. The manufacturer isn't standing behind their product and the warranty I purchased won't cover it because it should be covered by the manufacturer since it happened in the first 60 days. Again, buyer be very aware of what you are buying and who will stand behind what. You're buying a product made in China, sold by Amazon. You're also going to be dealing with Allstate who will supply the extended warranty if you buy it. Be exceptionally clear about the details of their policy coverage, because they won't cover you unless you have proof you have tried to resolve it. This may mean you can go on and on and on without a resolution. UPDATE #2: 11/2/2022 - The seller reached out to me directly via email and stated, "We saw your words and photos on Amazon, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. If these chairs are still useful to you, we propose to reimburse you $30 as a goodwill gesture." They also offered to send me "spare parts." For the readers out there, I spent $150 on these chairs so the $30 goodwill gesture is not even near acceptable especially when I only had the chairs for less than 60 days before they broke. I also don't want replacement parts when the design appears to be a problem. Look closely at the photos. You will see that the arms mount into the chair back. But the arms also mount into the chair base/seat so when you sit, all of the weight is placed on plastic against metal bolts. No wonder these broke. I told the seller that these chairs are a safety hazard and should be recalled. I still stand behind that. And I also told them that their $30 was disappointing since it's clear that they don't have a warranty and don't honor their word.
