Electrolux High Performance Blender

This blender was a huge disappointment. I was looking for something smaller, and more practical, since I don't have the best luck with blenders. I've replaced blenders every year for the past 5 years. I've yet to find the perfect blender. My recent fluke was the failure of my Vitamix. I thought, OK, if my Vitamix craps out, then I'm getting a normal blender because I'm not about to spend hundreds again. So when I saw this blender, I was interested because, it was by Electrolux, the price was right, and it had a glass canister. Sounded all good.... Then, when I received it and used it for the first time...this blender didn't even turn on!!!! OMG, talk about crappy. I checked the outlet and everything. I seriously couldn't believe this was an Electrolux item. I've never had an appliance not work on the first go. I should have been more skeptical because although the box was sealed, the item seemed used. There wasn't nearly as much non-recyclable wrapping and plastic around the product as there should be, and there was a little bit of what seemed like protein powder around the base. The stainless steel also had a thumbprint on it. Maybe I got a fluke, but whatever. They should have done a quality check on it before shipping since I purchased it under the pretense that it was in new condition. I would not recommend this blender.
