Amazon Basics Small Retractable Dog Leash

So far so good. It’s a very large housing of course because it’s so long. But so far, I pretty impressed with it. The retraction is very nice. I was worried that if it were enough tension to be able to retract something this long, that it would be just too uncomfortable for the pup to pull the thing out. Especially if you have a dog that is trained not to have a pulling, or yanking when on leash habit. That doesn’t seem to be the case, though there is definitely some tension, I don’t believe it will be enough so that they are not able to get used to it. My favorite thing about this product and design is the mechanism to lock and unlock. It blows my mind how many of these I have owned where it seems like they have taken the need to simply lock and unlock their ability to extend it any further, tried to get fancy, and instead, have made it damn near unusable, but at minimum, frustrating as hell, for no good damn reason. This think has a button to lock and a button to unlock, and it SIMPLY works perfectly every time. How nice is that, for crying out loud. Eeesh I wish that sometimes people would just live by that old adage if it works fine PLEASE don’t try and fix it. OyVey..🤦🏻
