Good chair overall but one of my arm rest is broken and does not stay in place.

Basic, quality chair

This is a good basic mesh office chair for the price. I have been looking for something that isn't going to break the bank with a head rest and a little more adjustability than my current chair, and I think this will do, but only time will tell. Construction was simple enough, it comes in only a few pieces and a few screws to attach. The adjustability is accurate in the pictures for the chair, with vertical adjustment for the entire unit, plus vertical adjustment and swing adjustment for the armrests. The one piece that is not adjustable -- and this may break the deal for me eventually -- is the lumbar. I do not use lumbar supports most of the time as they create rather than aid back pain, and this one MIGHT end up doing that. It isn't as pronounced as a lot of chairs like this one, mostly in the higher end of the price spectrum, but those are also almost universally adjustable. This is fixed in place. It could be entirely removed, but I'm not sure I'd like that much better. Time will tell with this element. For me, the adjustments are adequate and I was able to find a position that was ergonomically comfortable and appropriate for my desk setup very quickly. That's one thing I like about the chair -- there aren't a million tiny points of inflection to futz with. While that can be nice, sometimes it's just too much and you end up futzing for hours and never really finding a realistic position for the chair. The only other drawback on this chair, and this is frustrating even at this price point, is the wheels. I don't understand why so many manufacturers will put nothing into the wheels. The "mute nylon" casters are anything but that on a hardwood floor and I can hear them scratching. I'm kind of used to this at this point with all the chairs I've bought over the years so I'll be replacing these cheap lame casters with decent rubber wheels that roll WAY smoother and won't bork up my floor. This is a better, simpler chair than you'll find at most office stores at this price point, IMO. Not perfect, not sure how long it will last (though it does seem well constructed), but not so expensive I'm going to lose sleep if in 6 months it breaks.
