T-fal Fresh Ceramic Non-Stick Cooker, 5qt

After investing heavily in all clad cookware, and spending more time cleaning it than cooking in it, I decided I needed a large deep skillet that was nonstick that I could cook every day things like bacon, eggs, grilled cheese, not gourmet dishes or long simmering concoctions for which I use The all clad, as well as other stainless steel cookware. thePreheating, ritual, water dancing, etc. to make your skillet more nonstick does not always work. making cottage fries in an allclad skillet and spending two days soaking and cleaning the skillet convinced me that I should go back to nonstick. TFal seemed like a good choice since it’s an American company and hopefully has better quality control on the nonstick surface such as no blemishes or bubbles, etc. I’m totally happy with this pan. I can leave it sitting on the induction stove top all day and wipe it out to clean it between meals, I know it will not become a family heirloom but I’m 83 years old and really don’t care. All clad and another stainless is great to use for gourmet cooking and especially when you’re going to deglaze a pan which helps clean it but for every day task, it is a big pain . This TFal skillet is deep enough to do small stirfry‘s. The wok is better for larger amounts, but you can’t fry strips of bacon very easily in the wok. I wanted something I could leave out and use every day without rummaging through piles of skillets. This one so far is perfect. Maybe someday soon they will invent a stainless steel surface that does not have the open pores that have to be closed with heat before it can be used to cook in.
