Best mini waffle maker
By Elizabeth Davi on Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2023
I’ve bought 4 different mini waffle makers over the past few months and this one is by far the best. The suction cups on the bottom make it easy to work with and the sturdy construction and the majority of weight in the top, creates perfect waffles without having to hold the top down or mess with it while it’s cooking. Nothing sticks to it and waffles come out great every time. It literally takes me 30 seconds to clean it with a silicone sponge. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a decent, well built mini waffle maker.

Hidden disadvantages to small size
By Jim Farmer on Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2022
My wife is very picky about her waffles, so she was skeptical when I brought this in the house. As it turns out, she was right. We did side-by-side testing with our 8" department store waffle iron (which we chose very carefully for certain features), and the Krups came in second in just about every category. 1 - There's no adjustments on this unit. Nothing. Zero. You get the waffle it makes you, and the only choice you have in the matter is whether to eat it as-is or put it back in again. Unfortunately, if you choose option 2, you run into issue 2. 2 - The biggest problem is that the small size plus the metal used for the cooking surface meant that the Krups just doesn't hold heat. One cycle didn't make a waffle that was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside; it was floppy everywhere. But just closing the lid to run it again didn't do much to help, because the surface had lost so much heat that it couldn't heat up fast enough to cook the waffle any further, it just heated it up a bit. So we had to remove the waffles, then let it heat up, then put it back in, then guess how long to leave it there for the desired results. 3 - Cleanup was...not fun. It doesn't have a "lip" around the outside like some have, so any overflow just goes straight down the sides. We only messed up once, but that once cost me an extra 10 minutes at the sink getting batter out of all the nooks and crannies. Overall, I just don't consider this a good machine. It cuts too many corners to try to fit the size/budget/something that they chose as the most critical factor. Our no-name unit cost about the same, and it makes crisp/fluffy waffles every time. Do some research and find a better option.
