Cat scratchers
By Whole thing dry rotted, in a to small box with a lot of clear tape I damaged box, tabs broke off seams ripped before I even used it but I was stuck, had to put stakes into cover cause tabs ripped off sunlight showed through out the cover due to dry rot, it obviously was returned and reboxed and sent to me I want a box and label free, and a replacement New without any damage that can be staked and used. And 1 of the stakes were bent. on Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2024
Good value for the money. Long and wide, my cats can actually lay and scratch on them.. They are useing these more than the not very long and wide ones I bought previously.. I will repeat the purchase every time I'm. In need. The big plus is each one had it's own cardboard enclosure which keeps the sides from peeling off as they use it. Long lasting too. Good value for the money spent

Inserts are great(!), but the holders / surrounds are far too delicate & slippery
By Jay Why on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2025
I've been looking for an equivalent (yet cost effective) version of these ubiquitous scratch boards, an item I've been using (or making myself) for decades. While I appreciate the thickness and (so far) great balance of "cat like-ability" and durability of these Amazon scratch INSERTS, I find the white holders / surrounds rip far too easily if one has a cat that enjoys scratching close to the edges. That part is also quite slick on the bottom, so the unit slides all over any flooring unless the scratching cat is entirely on the board while scratching. This frustrated my cats, which made them lose interest until I rigged up a few solutions. See, my cats are, um, large, and they would probably be eligible for those GLP-1 injections when veterinarian approved. For their needs, I made a larger scratch area by taping 2 of these boards together tightly (very tightly!). Then I reinforced the outside holders with masking tape, and placed some double-stick flooring tape underneath. Now they're stronger, stay in place, and suit my cat's needs wonderfully. They love them! Unfortunately, by the time I add in the extra cost of the tapes and the time spent to make these Amazon scratch boards fit my needs I can just buy a perfect pre-made solution elsewhere. If one can live with the limitations I've mentioned, or they have cats that are different from mine, then these Amazon boards might be a great choice. I'm keeping them because once reconfigured for my immediate need to satisfy my screaming cats I can't return them, but I probably won't reorder. I hope this helped at least 1 prospective buyer.
