Five stars, very happy. I installed these on two of my windows prior to vacation a year ago and I haven't touched them since. The solar charging panel has held up marvelously, I have not even once had to take down the unit to charge it manually. It has never failed to open or close. When the time changes I simply update the open and close time and forget it again. Set up was overall easy. The measuring was simple enough with the provided tapes and measuring assistants. The only problem I had was closing the turning clamp around the wand. I had measured it multiple times but in the end I needed help closing the clamp because it fit so tight. I would definitely order more if I had any other windows needing such a device.

Valence Attachment needs improvement

I installed this on my blinds in August 2024 after holding onto the unit for a year. Initially installed as a test for 6 months on one window has I have 3 more adjacent to it. I'm glad the test extended into 1 year because the adhesive to attach to the valence has fallen off 2 months before hitting the 1 year install date. I reattached it and cleaned the area for sticking but within 24 hours it's fallen off again. While that wouldn't be a normal issue, my valence is 13' off the floor - I have to get the 10' ladder out to repair. Other than the adhesive the setup wasn't terribly difficult, despite having to wait 10 days for the battery to charge. The device is fairly quiet when put in silent mode and the open/closing isn't bad. Having this on my blinds was great Automation but some mechanism to better attach to the valence is needed - super sticky tape won't cut it long-term. I'll certainly save this for a different home where I only need a step ladder but if you're installing on blinds that are high up hoping it will stay attached with sticky tape you should reconsider. I would attach photos but the ones I've taken will not attach to this post for an odd reason.
