ECR4Kids Classic Bookcase, 48in, Adjustable Shelves

I like this brand and have 3 other gray shelving units. One of the shelves I bought was also a used like new item and was fine. However, this one was not fine. Whoever checks turned items really didn’t do their job with this one. There were scratches on the base and one of the boards was all cracked and busted out because whoever had it before over tightened the screws and busted it all out. I thought fine, I can ignore the scratches and I am not dealing with a return so I’ll live with the over tightening busted out board. However, when we went to assemble the shelf, we discovered that the screw holes are drilled wrong. Couldn’t find a drill and drill bit and I was so ready to be done with the stupid shelf that I just left them out. Not great but I was so over it. This thing is super heavy in a box and I don’t want to deal with a return so now I deal with a shelf with missing screws and a busted out board.
