Squishmallows 14-Inch Red Plaid Plush

I ordered this back in the winter when I saw it first listed. I knew my daughter would love this for her bday in May when it would arrive. I didn’t open the package other than to clarify what the item in the box was and left it in the plastic as it arrived earlier then expected. On the day of my daughters birthday party I got the box out of my closet and put it in a gift bag. When she opened the gift and took the squishmellow out of all the plastic wrapping it was adorable but it had a hole about finger size along the front seam that was immediately noticeable upon unpacking. What a disappointment to the party. Something I preordered way back months before her birthday to be a big surprise as none of her friends would have this exact squish and it has a hole! I’m assuming it’s too late to return as I had to preorder. My mother in law is going to try to stitch it before it tears further. Cute Hello Kitty but lacking quality control.
