Seems to be good quality

Unit seems to be good quality. Runs very quiet, the outdoor condenser I can’t hear at all unless I’m right on top of it. The indoor evaporator is practically silent on all but the highest fan settings and even on the highest setting it’s still pretty quiet. Install is about as easy as any mini split, I had all the necessary tools already so it was a breeze. You do need some HVAC tools and some electrical/HVAC knowledge would be helpful but if you’ve never done an install before you should be able to get through it with the instructions and some U TOOB videos. Took a few tries to get the app connected but once I did it seems solid and has some nice features. One thing I don’t like is the app and remote don’t sync with each other. For example if you turn the unit on with the remote and then later shut it down with the app the remote will still show the last setting even though the unit is off and vice versa. Other than that I have found no other cons after about a month of use.

I have never seen one of these get shipped somewhere without getting half destroyed, mine was no exception. This was my first experience of installing one of these units. When you order it you will need several tools and accessories that are not included and they do add up. You will need a vacuum pump and a gauge set to evacuate the line set before releasing the gas. You will also need a way to mount the outside unit to the wall or on the ground. The last thing is you will need a 20 amp 240v circuit free for this unit and an outside disconnect near the outside unit as per code. This all added up to around $300-400 depending on the quality you select of course. Also this is considering you doing the whole job and not hiring someone to do any part of it. You will need a 2 7/8 “ hole saw for the rubbing to go through the wall as well as an extra long 1/4” drill bit to make a pilot hole. Getting to the actual review of the unit and such it’s not too bad I have had it up for about a week now and I like it but I haven’t been able to get it to connect to my app yet. The inside unit comes with all metric copper lines pre installed that are soldered to imperial fittings and the extension lines are all imperial the tubing and the fittings. The extension tubing is different quality it is much cheaper and does not bend almost at all without kinking look at pictures if you would like to see. I bought a professional grade hvac bender and no matter what I couldn’t get it to bend more than just a few degrees let alone to get it to 90 like I wanted. It cools well and heats well. So if you’re willing to go through a few headaches of the install then it is worth the 1k I would say.
