A comprehensive review for a intelligent cleaning
By Stellar10 on Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2023
The J6 Roomba is a remarkable robotic vacuum cleaner that has significantly enhanced my daily life. Let me delve into the details: **Design and Build Quality:** The Roomba J6 boasts a sleek and modern design. Its build quality feels sturdy, with durable materials that can withstand the rigors of daily cleaning. The unit has a relatively compact footprint, making it easy to maneuver around furniture and tight spaces. The aesthetic appeal of this device is a bonus. **Cleaning Performance:** The most crucial aspect of any robotic vacuum is its cleaning ability, and the J6 doesn't disappoint. Equipped with advanced sensors and a powerful suction system, it efficiently navigates through my home, adeptly picking up dirt, dust, and debris. The dual multi-surface rubber brushes ensure a thorough clean on both hard floors and carpets. I've found it particularly effective at handling pet hair. I also have a dyson stick V8 and this roomba cleans almost as well. **Navigation and Smart Features:** The J6 uses smart mapping and navigation technology to create a map of my home, allowing it to clean in an organized manner. It rarely gets stuck and efficiently covers all areas. Its adaptive learning capabilities have impressed me, as it optimizes its cleaning patterns over time. The inclusion of voice control via smart assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant adds another layer of convenience to its operation. **Battery Life:** The battery life on the Roomba J6 is commendable. It can clean for extended periods before automatically returning to its base for recharging. This feature ensures that my entire home is cleaned without interruption, even in larger spaces. **Easy Maintenance:** Maintenance is a breeze with the J6. The device provides clear alerts when the dustbin is full, and emptying it is a simple task. The filter and brushes are easily replaceable, and Roomba's app provides helpful maintenance reminders. **App Control:** The Roomba app is user-friendly and intuitive. It allows me to schedule cleaning sessions, monitor the cleaning progress, and access detailed cleaning history and maps. The ability to start a cleaning cycle remotely is incredibly handy, especially if I want the house clean when I return home. **Price Point:** While the J6 Roomba is an investment, its performance and features make it worth the price. The convenience it offers and the time it saves in cleaning chores are valuable benefits. **Conclusion:** In conclusion, the Roomba J6 is a top-tier robotic vacuum cleaner that lives up to the Roomba reputation. Its efficient cleaning, smart features, and user-friendly operation make it a standout product in the world of home automation. It's an invaluable addition to any household, simplifying the task of maintaining a clean and tidy living space. If you're considering a robotic vacuum, the J6 Roomba is a reliable choice that I would recommend.

Not worth it
By Gordon King on Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2023
I have had the iRobot Roomba j6+ for just over two months. I was waiting to write a review until I have had enough time to see how well it works. I am not sure why everyone thinks the robot is great. Within the first 2 weeks, I just wanted to return it, because it was not performing like I wanted. But I thought it would get better as it learned more. Nope, I am very disappointed with it. First the iRobot Roomba j6+ does not have LIDAR. So, it just bumps into things until it maps out your house. Even my granddaughter is asking why it runs into walls. iRobot needs to add LIDAR, so give it some eyes please. Once the house is mapped it does ok at best. You tell it to go clean a room, it does go there 99.9% of the time. Some days it seems confused. It does have some difficulty driving over the carpet thresholds. The instructions state you should have house lights on so it can navigate better. Well, sometimes, I need to vacuum an area and it dark. So, I have to turn the lights on. See, it needs LIDAR. It is horrible at navigating around objects. It seems to miss cords ok, but it does not navigate around cats toys, kids toys, or Christmas ornaments. Yes, it destroyed an ornament. Troubleshooting faults can be difficult. The robot will tell you there is a fault, you go to fix it, but it does not fix it. So, you just have to try other things until the fault clears. It is always getting stuck. It tends to pile up bathroom rugs instead of going over them. It also knocked down a broom and pinned itself a room. Bottom-line, the robot is ok at best. Is it worth the money, absolutely not. I got mine on sale. I would never buy again or buy it if I knew how bad it navigates. Also, I will not buy another iRobot until they add a better navigation system. My 10 year old Neato performs better than the iRobot. Back to the LIDAR, I did not do my research well enough and I thought all iRobot’s had LIDAR. Now I realize that none of the iRobots have LIDAR, unless I misread it. That is huge issue for me. A robot needs some way of seeing. Imagine closing your eyes and walking through your house with your eyes closed. That is what the iRobot does. It does seem to vacuum fairly well. So that is a plus. In the end, this robot is not for me. I expect a lot from these robots and this one was disappointing. I will try the Roborock next.
