Used and not working

My 2nd shark air purifier arrived today and i immediately opened it and plugged it in I then noticed there is a black out mark on the back where the serial number is. It’s been running for a good hour now and has not increased beyond 0 ! This is a Used Item which I am very upset about. I will be returning this one!
