Hoover ONEPWR WindTunnel Emerge Cordless Vac

This brand name used to mean something in the carpet cleaning world but the value of product they used to provide was definitely not my experience with this particular item. The positives of this item are that, overall, it felt pretty sturdy, it charges on the base without removing the battery, and it comes with enough attachments for everything and anything you should have to use it for. The negatives issues I experienced in the very short time I handled this item include the mini roller brush attachment didn't feel like it was built strong enough for vacuuming areas such as stairs where a straight back and forth motion isn't typically used. The main issue, and deal breaker, I have with this item is that one of the the batteries indicated a fault code right out of the box. I couldn't even charge it to use for extended life in the vacuum, as the batteries do not last long at all. I did read reviews before purchasing this item and this was a popular downfall mentioned in several reviews that I read. I started the process for a replacement battery but Hoover makes it so complicated and mailing items back and forth does require special trips to the mailing office. Also, and especially, when taking into consideration the likelihood that the replacement was even going to work properly since the original, supposedly new, right out of the box battery, the main component for making this vacuum run, didn't even work at all. The negatives simply overshadowed the positives in this situation, a main component for making the vacuum complete the only task that it was purchased for, cannot simply be faulty right of the box. Luckily, Amazon makes the return process much easier than an age old vacuum company makes the part replacement process. Best of luck choosing your next vacuum and if you've taken my review into consideration, I would look elsewhere.
