Paying extra for true portability is WORTH it imho

I have a senior dog who pees in the house from time to time regardless of training. With that in mind, this unit is far superior than the Bissell Little Green Machine. At first, I wasn't sure if paying the extra $20 or so for a chargeable battery was worth it but now I'm convinced. If your pet makes messes frequently enough, the last thing you want to deal with is an annoying cord and knowing where your outlets are. Sure, the running time is roughly 15 minutes but unless you're cleaning the entire room, that's plenty of time for spot cleaning. The other features that make it so much better than Bissell is the design is way more user friendly. You can actually put the container down on a flat surface to refill it with cleaning solution. And plus all of it comes apart so you can clean the containers themselves. You couldn't even open the dirty tank on the Bissell to clean out the dog hairs which is such a head scratcher! The battery charges quickly, you have a more powerful mode (which I haven't had to really utilize), and the hose cleaning attachment fits flush into a little nook at the top. Everything about this little unit is very well thought out! Highly recommend!

Decent product but not the best
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2023
The vacuum itself is decent, but running $250, you’d think they’d give you a battery that lasts longer than an hour. The only appeal for this vac for me was that it was cordless. I didn’t want to spend the money on this but felt like it was my last option because there’s not a good competing cordless upholstery vac like this (that I’m aware of). On top of the battery only lasting an hour, (I couldn’t even clean half of a sectional couch before this thing burnt out) the only other battery you can get for this vacuum are Hoover made batteries which range from $70 to $160+ and ill give it to the company, it’s smart, but they could care less for the customers pocket. The prices for these batteries are ridiculous and the company must know it. The only appeal for this vacuum is the cordless amenity. Skip right over this if you can handle a cord.

My Perspective ... I bought this because I have an older dog who is now prone to "accidents." Honestly, having purchased and used a lot of rechargeable battery-operated products, I was expecting this little machine to not have adequate suction power. To my pleasant surprise, however, it does the job both easily and effectively ... and manages to remove odor as well. The unit is well-manufactured, easy to use, easy to clean and is relatively light to carry around. I only have one negative comment and that is regarding a design flaw. To Hoover: If you situate the machine so that you have maximum stretch of the hose, the unit light ends up on the opposite (wrong) side. (?) I would try to fix this because the light really helps when you are dealing with small stains. Turning the unit so the light shines in the correct direction leaves you with very little hose.
Quality isn't what it used to be

I had a corded small Hoover carpet cleaner that lasted years, but couldn't afford one when the motor died a few years ago and got a Bissell, specifically to clean up after my cat as he's a diagnosed chronic regurgitator. It was made to clean up after pet messes, but it was not user friendly, I hated not being able to take it apart to clean the built up regurgitated cat food, until I was so grossed out I just threw it out and bought this one. The convenience of it not being corded is a massive time saver as he pukes up 2 to 3 times per vomit session, all in different areas of my apt. I've had this for about 8 months now and only had to recharge it maybe 4 times. The ability to take most of it apart is very important to me to keep any build up cleaned off. Bits of food always get stuck in the head of the hose, and I love being able to take it apart and scrub it all off. I can get into the waste bucket pretty well with a bottle brush too. I'm pretty OCD about that. I've also used it to clean minor dark spot dirt build up near the front door. The spray part of it is pretty wide, I usually have to hold it as close as I can to the spot to clean up so as to not overspray the area. The suction is pretty good, I've never noticed any wet spots on my socks as I'm sure I've accidentally stepped on a spot I just cleaned. I use the Hoover brand carpet cleaning solution, and I have been able to get some pretty discolored spots off of a white rug I stupidly bought. The only con I have is the waste bucket capacity can fill up too quickly during the hose self cleaning, and theres a bit of a sour smell coming from the machine, but the pros outweigh those minor negative aspects. After 8 months of using this 2-3 times a week, it's holding up well, it does seem to be a solid product, and I'm hoping it lasts at least a few more years. I'm sticking to Hoover carpet cleaners from now on as they seem to be well thought out with user friendliness in mind. Update: today is 1/2/2025, I purchased this 4/22/2024. I wrote this review about a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the hose that attaches to the head tore off of it. I do use this a lot, but I do not abuse or misuse it in any way. Updating from 5 to 4 stars, since it's unusable in under a year. I contacted Hoover today for a claim as it should be under service warranty, I'll update this review once a resolution is reached. It's March 29th 2025 and have not had a response from Hoover. Down grading to 3 stars as the quality is just not what it used to be and did not receive any type of response from the company.

I previously bought other "Portable" carpet cleaners and was disappointed to see that it needed to be plugged in, not making it so portable after all. This product was just what I was looking for. Good suction and cleaned my car very well. Looks brand new. 10/10
So easy to use and easy to clean the machine!

This machine is so easy to use. The best part is, the machine itself is extremely easy to clean unlike most other extractors. Each individual tool can be taken apart very easily and rinsed out in just a couple seconds which is great when pet hair gets caught up in it. Same with the waste water section. The whole top comes off which makes it so easy to rinse out unlike most other extractors that just have a small drain spout. Because it’s so easy to rinse every part of this, there is no lingering smell coming from the machine when you use it like with most other extractors, which is exactly what you need when your repeatedly cleaning pet messes. The boost mode is perfect for really thick carpet or cloth furniture. However, doesn’t make much of a difference for the set in stains as I’ve realized that is more related to how long you stain treat and scrub rather than the actual extracting power from the machine. The only down side is that the battery dies quicker than I would like. I have multiple young puppies in the house so a lot of accidents while potty training and a fully charged battery only lasted about half the day with repeated use. Also there is little warning when running on low battery. Once the machine lets you know it’s low on battery you have about 20 seconds before it dies completely which is very inconvenient if you’re in the middle of cleaning. For me the wireless unit was worth the extra money because when I’m running to clean up a pet mess or big spill on the carpet, the last thing I want to worry about is where the closest outlet is and will the cord reach. I can just grab and go. This is the first truly hassle free product I’ve used in a long time. Overall excellent product and definitely recommend!

Ok, but not the best

I specifically purchased this machine for cleaning my truck interior. The attachments and battery life might be perfect for quick cleanups around the house, but it's not the best choice for auto detailing. It comes with two attachments, one of which is much too wide for those narrow, hard-to-reach areas, and the second, smaller attachment barely sucks up water at all, which makes it virtually useless. I will say that the suction with the larger attachment is pretty good. Takes a few passes, and you may have to press it down for best results (holding the attachment with one hand and pressing down with the other, which gets exhausting pretty quickly), but it leaves the carpet/upholstery nearly dry. It came with the 4-hour battery. On the low setting with a full charge, it lasts about 30-45 minutes. On the high setting, you're looking at about 15-20 minutes of battery life. Definitely not a 4-hour battery, and charging takes hours. In conclusion, if you're looking for something to clean your vehicle interior, look elsewhere. I won't be returning it because I still think it'll be useful to have around the house, but I'll be purchasing a different machine for my truck

I unfortunately do not have a good review for this product. For one my machine is leaking. I don’t think it’s fair I spent so much to then have to repair it myself. No I did not overfill the containers. Yes I ensured everything was fasten correctly. I cannot understand how it takes hours for the battery pack to charge and the run time is ONLY 45 minutes max! I have used it about 4 times and I haven’t been able to run it for More than 30 minutes before it’s starts to turn off on its own then another 15 the battery is dead! The suction is okay. The fluid last longer than the battery life and that in it self just doesn’t make much sense to me. All in all I don’t love this purchase!

So i loved the removable battery. Loved the suction at first but seemed to lose suction after only using it about 20 times on dog messes. It totally died c at almost exactly 1 yr from date of purchase. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. It was not fixable unfortunately. I need to get something but it won't be another one of these.
